On 21.11.2011, Dr Tiryaki was interviewed by iRozhlas.cz, the online platform of Czech Radio. She spoke about the possibility of Turkey entering the EU in the context of the Turkish president’s first official visit to the UK in 23 years.

On 7.11.2013, Dr. Tiryaki was interviewed on a Polish radio Jedynka. Together with other experts, she spoke about the politics of Prime Minister Erdogan and the internal politics of Turkey.

Dr Tiryaki was asked by the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah to comment on the results of the survey on the reunification of Cyprus, which were published on 3.1.2016: “It will take enhanced responsibility and determination of not only leaders, but also civil society and media to keep up with the optimistic language and positive messages to bring Greek Cypriot society to a ‘yes’ result in the referendum.”

Dr Tiryaki was interviewed for an article by the Slovak newspaper Hospodárske noviny, commenting on the suicide attack that happened on 12.1.2016 in Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet district and killed 13 people.
